Turn off lights as you exit the rooms, turn your computer off at night, and only keep the refrigerator door open to get the food (not when you’re deciding what to get). I even unplug appliances and devices (like the toaster and my cell phone charger) when aren’t in use to help save a bit there too because even though the appliances aren’t on they’re still drawing small amounts of energy if they’re plugged into the socket - which adds up.
2. Use CFL energy-saving light bulbs
