Easy Ways to Save Money on Bills

Here are a few easy tips to help lower your monthly bills!

1. Turn off lights and appliances when you’re not using them.

This is an easy one, but if you get in the habit of doing it regularly you will notice a nice reduction in your electric bill. Turn off lights as you exit the rooms, turn your computer off at night, and only keep the refrigerator door open to get the food (not when you’re deciding what to get). I even unplug appliances and devices (like the toaster and my cell phone charger) when aren’t in use to help save a bit there too because even though the appliances aren’t on they’re still drawing small amounts of energy if they’re plugged into the socket - which adds up.

2. Use CFL energy-saving light bulbs

I managed to lower my grocery bill by about 40-60% per month, which is about $200-$300 less than what I was spending before. Pretty amazing right?

Well, a huge part of my grocery store savings are coupons. I know some people don’t like clipping coupons or simply don’t get the Sunday newspaper, so I thought I’d offer you some grocery store coupon resources that  are Internet based. These are online sources that offer both printable grocery store coupons and eCoupons. eCoupons are coupons that are electronically loaded to your grocery store savings card (i.e. your Ralphs card, Vons card, etc.) so there is no coupon clipping necessary.
